This is my submission for the June 2025 WOWCube Game Jam.

Dance Heroin is a rhythm game for WOWCube. There are 16 different songs with different difficulty levels to choose from. When a song is selected, it is played with dancers appearing across the cube, dancing in different directions for each note of the song. The player has to memorise the order and direction of the moves, and then repeat those moves. The sequence that has to be remembered gets longer over time, for example starting with 3 moves and ending with 9 moves. When the player successfully repeats the full sequence, the level is completed.

However, if the player makes a mistake they have to redo the sequence. After 3 mistakes, the player loses, and they have to redo the level from the start.

Hints:
-Turn on the sound. Though it's possible to play without sound, the game was designed with sound in mind.
-Each direction on the cube matches with a particular note, this can also help with memorising the sequence.
-After making a twist, check for the corresponding note and dance move to play to make sure the twist was registered. If the note and dance move don't play, the twist wasn't registered and may need to be redone

Future development:
-Performance optimisation, including framerate optimisation and twist detection
-Include more explanation in the game itself
-Other games in the same engine (I have concepts building on this engine for a Tennis game and a game where you battle monsters)
